Long before he became a companion to the noble samurai Yumi and Ryu, Sarutobi lived in the ancient forests of Japan. Born into a clan of intelligent and agile monkeys, Sarutobi was inspired by the legends of Sarutobi Sasuke, a famed ninja. Sarutobi spent his days leaping through the trees and practising stealth, becoming a master of his environment.

One day, he discovered an abandoned temple filled with scrolls about the ways of the samurai and ninja. Fascinated, he studied and mimicked the techniques, turning himself into a skilled warrior. Sarutobi became a guardian of the forest, using his abilities to protect other animals from hunters and maintaining peace. His reputation grew, and he was respected by all creatures of the forest.

One evening, Sarutobi heard the sounds of battle and found two samurai, Yumi and Ryu, fighting off bandits. Moved by their bravery, he intervened, using his speed and agility to help drive the attackers away. Though they couldn't speak, an unspoken bond formed between them. From that day on, Sarutobi watched over Yumi and Ryu, protecting them from the shadows.

Little did he know that their paths would soon intertwine, leading him to join them as a trusted ally in their quest for justice.
