Asherton fell. The once great, proud city lies in ruins. The wind blows through its ruined palaces, its majestic gardens are overgrown with predatory weeds and poisonous mushrooms. Songs of past victories are no longer heard in the echoing hails, only wild animals roar in the streets and casual travellers cowardly huddle against the ruined walls in the hope of saving their lives.
The once proud people of the fallen city no longer praise the Great Mother in tree temples. Powerful enemies, the great magicians of the magical court of Lionila, who with the help of betrayal broke the protection of Asherton and sent a magical storm that brought monsters to life and erased the very memory of their great past from the people of Asherton. Since then they have gone wild. The Great Hall is no longer a sacred place, but merely a shelter from the rain. Great runes with the history of the city are just lines on the stone. Hundreds of years have passed since then. Even the enemies of Asherton, began to forget their great victory.
Asherton fell. But his wild legacy lives on, and maybe one day they get their revenge.
